Bonjour! Welcome, little monkey, to my own little teepee of self-indulgence. Who am I? Why, I'm August of course!!. Who else am I? I am a meandering high school student, mild mannered reporter, book worm, movie buff, budding Japanophile, Food network obsessive, collector of cheesy punk covers, shining paradigm of mediocre abnormality, and the most mixed up, non-deliquent on the block. Don't worry, by the end of your journey you'll know far more than you care to.
Wondering where exactly you've found yourself? Perfectly understandable. As the delightfully pop culture-centric graphic at the top of the page states, this is ... Stupid Girly Shit. Why did I name my website such a thing? INSIDE JOKE, TRUST ME. Where did the name come from? Well, without going into too much detail, let's say that it involved a transsexual and an acoustic rendition of ";Stairway to Heaven." What's the point of all of this madness? Ahh, good question. I started this site (more or less just an exercise in personal futility) in order to be a complete representation of me, proving that a nameless 17 year old with no indentifying notorieties to speak of can still be interesting enough to carve her initials into the aging redwood that is the internet. The site is intended as a celebration of all the facets of my personality, banal though some of them may be. It will be a haven for all of my hobbies, endeavors, obsessions, and even a few of the members of the "special people club" that inhabit my biome.
As you travel through my little point and click palace, I shall be the proverbial Wonka to your golden ticket holder. The Rufus to your Bill S. Preston, Esq. The Zack Morris to your ... whomever it was that he was always freezing the action and talking into the camera to.
